Postpartum care is the practical support a mother needs in the weeks after birth — rest, feeding help, wound care, meals she does not have to cook, and someone awake at three in the morning. Here is what differs between centres, and how to compare them.
പ്രസവാനന്തര പരിചരണം: താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ.
The first weeks decide how well feeding gets established and how much a mother recovers rather than simply endures. A postnatal stay buys three things a house usually cannot: uninterrupted sleep, meals timed around feeding rather than around the household, and someone experienced to ask at the moment a question comes up.
Length varies. Fourteen days covers the most intense early period. Twenty-eight days is the most commonly chosen. The traditional forty-one day stay is still widely followed in Kerala. Your obstetrician is the right person to help you judge what your own recovery needs.
Nursing cover overnight is the single biggest difference and the least visible one — ask how many mothers one nurse covers at 3am. After that: how often a doctor visits, whether the room has space for a bystander to stay, how many meals are served and whether the menu adapts to diabetes or a surgical recovery, and what the quoted price actually includes.
Every listing on Ammayum Kunjum publishes room types and the centre's weekly menu where they have entered one, so much of that comparison can happen before you spend a phone call on it. Prices are not published: ask the centre directly for a current quote.
Every centre below publishes its own rooms, facilities and contact details. Open a district to see all of them.

Listed packages commonly run 14, 28 or 41 nights. Which suits you depends on your delivery, your recovery and your family's situation — discuss it with your obstetrician rather than defaulting to the longest package on offer.
Care centres provide rest and practical support, which helps. They do not diagnose or treat postpartum depression. If you are struggling emotionally, speak to your doctor — it is common, it is treatable, and it is not something to wait out.
